The Beatles’ THE WHITE ALBUM 50th Anniversary Celebration An International Symposium Conference Theme: "Producing an Enigma for the Ages" Join us for an international scholarly conference devoted to the life, work, and influence of the Beatles, particularly in relation to their legendary album The Beatles (1968), popularized as The White Album. The festivities will include various live acts, as well as keynote addresses by rock critics and figures from the music industry. Celebrated Beatles historian Mark Lewisohn will serve as our keynote speaker, along with such luminaries as Walter Everett, John Covach, Tim Riley, and Robert Rodriguez, among others. We are now accepting abstracts and/or panel suggestions for the symposium. For possible topics please visit: www.monmouth.edu/MCA/WhiteAlbum.aspx. Abstracts should be 150-250 words in length to ensure full consideration. Full-panel submissions are also encouraged.
