55 Stockton Street
Princeton, NJ 08540

Morven is honored to welcome Dr. Cheryl Finley of Cornell University  back to Princeton to share her extraordinary work and book Committed to Memory: The Art of the Slave Ship Icon. The day’s events provide an opportunity to engage in meaningful conversations surrounding the 400th anniversary of the first documentation of enslaved Africans having landed in North America. Due to anticipated interest, Dr. Finley will be providing an illustrated lecture at 2:00 p.m. Tea/Tour/Talk and 6:30 p.m. with book signing. Light refreshments will be provided at the evening lecture. Additional support for Dr. Finley’s program is provided in part by the Historical Society of Princeton.
