Beverly Hertler, a fiber artist from Red Bank, is exhibiting her work inspired by texture, pattern, and color interaction in the windows of the Art Alliance of Monmouth County for the month of December. She experiments with paint, print techniques, and embellishment on a variety of fabrics and uses them in the manner a painter uses paint. She produces uplifting visual experiences�" at times whimsical. Hertler exhibits nationally in juried fine art, fine craft and quilt shows. She has earned 4 Best of Show Awards as well as the Rosen Award for “Fiber Piece/Quilted at the Buyers for American Crafts, Philadelphia, PA. She has had several one woman shows and participated in many invitational shows. The main gallery space at Art Alliance features work that is 100 square inches or less including the frame. This work is ideal for holiday gifts; you may buy the work and take it off the wall and home with you! An Artists’ Reception will be held Saturday, December 7th, from 6-8 PM. Founded in 1978, the Art Alliance of Monmouth County is dedicated to promoting the advancement of the visual arts and providing exhibition, studio, and classroom space to local artists.
