Phyllis Rossr's Abstract Constructions

Art Alliance of Monmouth County

33 Monmouth St
Red Bank, NJ 07701

Phyllis Rosser works with wood stripped bare of its bark and washed smooth by nature which she collects from the banks of the Connecticut River in Bellows Falls, VT. She collages it into dynamic forms that invite contemplation. Some are painted in brilliant colors while others are left in their natural shades of silver, beige, rust, and gray to show the beauty of the ravages of time. These wall hung pieces range in size from 12 inches to 9 feet in length. Her work has appeared in many exhibitions in New York, New Jersey and New England and is represented in important permanent collections. In the main Gallery Phyllis will jury work by Art Alliance members on the themes Inside & Out and Hands & Feet. These works will be on display October 5, 2019 through October 29th at the Art Alliance of Monmouth County, 33 Monmouth Street, Red Bank, NJ 07701. Join us at the opening reception 6-8pm, Sat.
